Identifying Principles and Promises
Are principles necessary when there are promises?
What makes a promise effective?
The Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled.” (Jeremiah 1:12 NIV)

Hello everybody, welcome once again to Deep Teens Audio.
Yes, and this is episode 16 of Deep Teens of His Word.
So we have been going from episode 1 now in episode 16 and
you have only seen to up to the 15 episodes.
Wow. Just wow.
But it's fine. It's not, but it's fine.
So today we have a very special guest and I missed.
I also have an interesting topic, so I'm going to introduce
our interesting topic to us. I'm going to tell what it is
they are now and welcome our very special guest.
So today we're looking at how to identify promises and
principles, right? So which one should we engage in
our prayer and as a lifestyle? So but today our special guest
is none other than. It's a pleasure being here.
God bless you so so much. Thank you so much.
I'm very happy to have you have my idea.
Thank you so much. And yeah, happy New Year.
I think it's the first time this year I say, right, OK, So our
topic how to identify promises and principles and which one
would you say should be used in our prayer and which one should
we use as a lifestyle? So, all right, I would say that
this is a very important topic. I absolutely love it.
And when you're talking about identifying promises and
principles, you are not talking about the promises of men.
Yes, your uncle can promise you. And how to identify it is to
check your WhatsApp chat with him or your phone call, you
know. But what we are talking about is
God's own promises. OK, How do you identify it?
And how do you also identify these principles?
That's my question, right? So if that's my question, I
would say it's made clear the easiest way to identify God's
promises. You know, someone can meet and
tell you that, oh, God told him that he's going to make him
rich. And you, God did not tell you in
your dream, God did not tell you your visions.
So how sure are you that you are going to be rich?
We go through the Scriptures and every promise that a believer
can claim of now God have already promised it in the
Scriptures. So one of the ways to identify
God's promises is by searching through the letters of the
scriptures. And when you search through
promises, promises function on a standard or on a a circumference
of condition. Are you getting me?
So someone can be promised something, but it is until some
level of commitment is being mixed.
I can remember those days when we were kids.
Our parents will say, oh, if you get first position, I will give
you a bicycle. That's a promise.
So the legal ground for obtaining that promise is that
there is first position in frame.
So if you don't get first position, that promise is not
for you. So one of the ways to identify
promises, searching the letters of the Scriptures and also
knowing the requirements for such premises to be granted and
talking about principles, how do we identify principles?
First of all, we need to understand what principles are.
Principles are simply an explanation to things that
already happened. So somebody got pregnant and
after nine months the person delivered.
I can come and say, OK, there's a principle that it takes nine
months for someone to deliver. So the principle is not a thing
on its own. The principle is like a
monitoring scan to what is already happening.
So one of the ways to identify principles is by monitoring
patterns in the Scriptures. That's where we can talk about
the principle of saving, where we read the Bible and Joseph was
saving 20% of Pharaoh's income for the drought.
And that's where most people will say, OK, 20% is the
principal amount of money to save.
So that's principle. So principles are denoted from
the basis of patterns. You look through the scriptures,
you see things that happen over and again, over again and again.
If that's right, and then you you can copy out a Spartan and
that's where you can derive principles.
Principles are already set systems.
You can observe them, you can, you can just get them basically
by observation. But promises have gotten based
on conditions. God said to Abraham this and
this. If you leave your father's house
and you follow me, I will show you a city whose builder America
is not mine. I just I just seen this.
So this is a promise, but that promise is on a condition.
But principles is simply by looking at things and picking
out the processes and the pattern it follows.
So I think principle is denoted from observation and promises is
can be can be obtained from looking at the conditions around
them in the scripture. Wow, thank you so much.
That was really profound. So I wanted to now ask, so which
one do you think we should engage in prayer?
Should we engage the principle? Should we engage the promise,
knowing that I didn't give in to all.
So should we be since God already told us expressed and
you'll be rich. Should we now go to prayer and
say, Father, you promised me, bring it, Amen, like you will
bring that? Or do you now look for what are
the principles that make up one being rich, knowing that you're
being promised and then make it a lifestyle?
So which one do you think we should make a prayer point and
which one should be a lifestyle so that we can engage it to make
it come to pass? All right, very much we've
understood what principles are principles.
Just explanation 2 patterns already in motion.
And let me start with principles first because this the more
controversial one. And many people would say that,
OK, they don't believe that you'll engage in prayer and
principles because some believers can look at principles
and benefit from it already. Because I gave an example of the
case of Joseph. Joseph was trying to save a head
of famine and the saving he was saving was 20%.
So someone can copy that and they say, OK, something's going
to happen in the next five years.
The viscosity someone can start saving 20% without being a
believer. And because this is a principle,
the person can be saved from famine.
Are you getting, you should understand that the people of
Egypt are not worshippers of God also, are you getting so
principles They are, as I said, they are life, you know, life
play outs. But the these just explanations
to life play outs. So one of the ways to, you know,
obtain the results of principles because I won't say principles,
I eat in and eat the explanation to things.
One of the ways to obtain results from principles is by
engaging them. And one of the major ways of
engaging principles is by living it as a lifestyle.
I was denote back again to what I said earlier, 20%, are you
getting me? That's the saving principle.
And many businesses, many spheres, they are copying that
principle. So there are many principles
littered around the scriptures, littered around stories of men
who follow the code and we can look at them and copy them and
keep them in as a lifestyle. But now this is the contemporary
way of doing it. This is the classical way of
doing it. But as a believer, we have an
advantage. We have the Holy Spirit living
inside of us. So also we can add prayer to the
substance of our principles. So now you, you want to save
20%, but you know that if you save that 20% that you may not
be able to eat. Are you getting me?
So that is where you bring in the, the department of prayer.
You cannot bring in prayer and say God look at this, help me.
So I believe the delivers life cannot be exempted from the
second Friends of prayer. Prayer is a thing that we should
do all the time. Whether you are doing lifestyle,
you must pray. Whether you are trying to keep
principles, you must pray because even the Bible said that
you you pray without season. I think that's long as 5/17.
So you pray without season. So prayer is something that
shouldn't be exempted from the operation of principles.
Nevertheless, principles can be fed.
You can get results from principles by keeping to
lifestyle alone. But as a believer is not advisor
because it's loose as though you're trying to remove God from
your frame. Somebody can study medicine and
surgery without asking God for it, right?
But as a believer, we put all things in prayers and
supplication with Thanksgiving onto the Lord.
So this is something I think we should do for principles,
principles, lifestyle very important, but prayers not to be
exempted. Now when we talk about promises,
you should understand that promises work with conditions.
God does not give promises without a condition.
I read through the Bible, look at the book of Exodus, look at
the book of Leviticus. You will see that God gives
references. He said, OK, for you to obtain
this, you must do this. For me to help you and do this,
you must do this. So one of the things that
happened in promises is that we should understand that there is
and there will always be a baseline condition for them to
take effect. So what we do in prayer is that
we come to God in prayer and we say, Lord, can you help me
fulfill these baseline requirements?
You want to prosper me, but you're saying that he that will
be prospered must be stainless. Are these an instance?
OK. And you know that it is hard for
you to live a life without compromise.
This way you go to prayers, you say, God, can you help me to
live this form of life? Clean from compromise, clean
from this and clean from that. This is where you begin to
engage prayer in promises, right?
So that's it. You'll find the conditions
around that and you begin to engage in prayers for God to
help you to keep it. Because I know that God is a
God, that He's faithful. His faithfulness is not just
that He keeps his own helps you to also keep your own.
And as you begin to keep put those things in prayers, you
begin to live as though those promises have been already been
fulfilled. So you, you, let's say you are
praying for God to expand your course, to enlarge your course,
sorry. And you want God to bless you
financially. And then after praying, giving,
doing the things that are are very necessary for those
promises to to take effect. And then you still go back home
and you're saying almost up a deal.
Doing those things are just like a cancellation effect to what
you have already done in prayer. Are you getting me?
So one of the things a man should always do when it comes
to when it comes to specifically promises is that after getting
the requirements for those promises, praying that God helps
you to execute those requirements, you also begin to
live like those requirements have been made.
That's where faith comes in. You trust that God, if he said
this, definitely you will do it. I have done what you said I
should do. I've put it this year and I've
put it that way. I will believe.
And you begin to live your life as do because that's what have
already happened, that God have done those promises.
So that's one thing I would say specifically when it comes to
promises and principles. Thank you so much.
That was really. Profound.
That was really very, very profound.
So. You say that for a believer,
it's not advice for the person to pray in person to you just
work on only lifestyle for principles and not pray, right?
So what is the upper hand they get?
Because most people don't really know and usually it does feel
that if they can use the principle well, they incorporate
this principle so much that they won't don't contract anymore.
Because I like well, if I don't do the right thing, I now get it
because I mean other people in the world do it too.
So what the upper hand in praying?
Thank you very much. I love this mission.
One of the things you understand is that, as I said, principles
are not life systems. They are explanations to life
systems. I don't know if you get my
point. They are like explanations.
They are not like. When you look at how principles
are derived scientifically, you will see that we start suddenly
begin to study the principle of relativity.
We are studying something that have already happened and we are
getting an explanation why it happened.
For instance, I know principles and laws are different, but let
me speak about laws. For instance, gravity.
Gravity, the law of gravity was not derived.
When gravity was derived, somebody suddenly started
looking at gravity and seeing it take place, and the person came
up with the law. Because it's an explanation to
and already existing facts. So because principles are
explanations for already existing, perfect, your
explanation can be wrong. Are you getting me?
So sometimes they say, oh, that if you do it this way, do it
this way, you should get to 8. One plus one is equal to 2.
But our times when you read the Bible, the Bible says that you
shall become one. So some of these things you need
the Holy Ghost. That's why the Bible says, I
think in the book of Corinthians, second Corinthians
or so the Bible was saying that the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of
God, such as deep things, even the deep things of God.
So one of the things, I'm sorry, this deep twisted, and I'm
saying that So what the Holy Ghost begins to do to a man is
that in as much as their principles, he can tell you, oh,
this year, don't invest this money because something will
happen, because Holy Ghost are such deep things.
He knows what will happen besides the principle, he know
that this will happen. There's principle of harvest,
right? If you plant, you reap.
But what if there's a flood? So the Holy Ghost will come and
say, OK, there'll be a flood. Don't plant this time.
Plant that time. That's the advantage that the
Spirit of God brings. Are you following my points?
That is one of the key advantage that the Spirit of God brings.
And if you look through the Bible, the Bible said that the
Jesus was saying that I'll send you if I don't go, this will not
come. And this will teach you all
things, speaking about all things.
You understand that, as I said earlier, that principles are
explanations. That is to say that the
explanation that you as a human being, you cannot totally, you
know, scrape out even the Holy Ghost will begin to meet you
down and explain to you some of those things in depth.
So that's one thing I believe you cannot have the advantage of
the Holy Spirit and decide to live as though He's not there.
So everybody gets 50% because they invested 3030% you too as a
believer you follow them true because you believe that you
know there is no need for the Spirit of God because some of
them will lose in those businesses you lose to the
advantage of the spirit is that he's such a thing.
So even the things that scientists observers cannot come
to come to conclude he can conclude it in a minute.
So I believe that the Holy Ghost is, is and prayer, true prayer,
you know, as a I'm assessing the Holy Ghost through prayer is a
requirement that we cannot overemphasize.
Thank you so much. Thank you so much.
That was really profound. OK, I, I'm really touched as
this last question. So you know the concept of
promises, because it's a promise, you don't really know
the time as of when it will come.
You just don't like to shortly come if you don't do the right
thing. So how can someone stay hopeful?
Or. Stay I OK are hopeful, Yes.
Even when they call me stories and we're looking like it's not
going to come anytime so I'm not looking like it's happening.
How can one stay hopeful? OK, so this is where I I choose
to use the word faith more in this context because we read the
book of Hebrews, we see something interesting and the
Bible says and any time I read it, I'm shocked.
I will be going to speak about men of faith.
And he says some of them even died without them seeing the
fruits of those promises. I get you.
So I don't know how it is that God does it, but I believe that
this where the case of faith comes in.
And you know that those promises were never lost because what God
promised Abraham, Abraham never saw his descendants uncountable
like the stars of heaven. But it is happening to you this
day. So the promises of God may not
be reflected in time. He does not know that it does
not mean that it will not eventually come to pass.
So one of the things I want us to know is that this is where
faith comes in. One of the things to do is to
keep on trusting God. Who OK, who will you trust?
What what else will you do? So the best thing to do is to
trust God and believe in your heart that he's going to he's
going to do what he says. And even when he looks as though
he's not going to do it, just know that he's doing that a
better time, even if that time is next one ready, He's going
and obviously there. OK, so that's what I believe.
But I believe most of the time God is going to do those things
in our time, especially those promises that are very direct
and time based for most. Some of those promises are the
things that's like I was talking about that He will give you the
fruit of the womb. Are you getting me?
It means that he will give it to you.
If He made those promises, it will eventually come.
It might not come directly as a child of your own, but he might
do something around you that you have so much sons and daughters.
I mean so much. There's something Abraham told
his wife. Sir, I'm trying to believe that,
Abraham said. Am I not worth 1000 son to you?
Something like that, Hannah, Sorry, I gobilize.
I know the sorry. Am I not worth 1000 son to you?
Or is it thousand son or I think seven son son.
I forgotten so so that's it. So what he's trying to point to
is very very simple that those promises that even God is enough
for you. We keep on waiting in faith and
in lifestyle because you keep on living as do those things have
come. Are you getting me.
That's how to walk by faith and not by sight.
You believe that those things which are not are are you
getting me? So that's one of the things that
you will do when it comes to promises lingering.
Thank you, thank you, thank you so much.
I really appreciate that was really profound.
So you've all had it. I really love the way you broke
it down line upon line and everything making it more
realistic and relatable. I follow up.
All right. Thank you so much.
You're welcome. So there we find out what pause.
OK, I don't really have a final word.
I've said a lot of since, and this audio is probably longer
than, you know, normal. But all I can say is that for a
man to, you know, a man to try the risks of believing God,
because to a normal mind, these risks, you should be ready to
wait on him. God is a King's spirit.
So one of the ways to receive from a king is to wait.
So when God has given out this promise, you don't rush and go.
And that's why many people tumble and fumble into things
that are eventually become harmful to them.
One of the things you do when you have seen a promise through
the scriptures, you have engaged the promise through prayers and
lifestyle. One of the things you should do
is to believe, believe, have fit and talking about principle.
Principles are very, very much lifestyle dependence and prayer
dependence. OK, So I would say principles
are more dead with prayers than they would livestock.
Something like you're meant to plant cassava and reap after a
year and you say you want to go pro, It is more likely to happen
if you plant and you don't pray, that you pray and you don't
plant. Are you getting my point?
So yeah, I'm not saying it's not possible for you not to plant
and you reap. It is possible.
But that is a one in a million metropolis intervention, and God
will always do it because of the reason.
Because of His sovereignty, but He have already put in a live
systems that we can observe and pick from.
So I can decide to plant my cassava and pray.
What will happen is that others will be reaping maybe 5 tubas.
I'll be reaping 10 tubas. That's what Praya does to
principle. It amplifies your results.
So I can now say, OK, I'll not plant with you.
I'll pray and believe cassava will come in, come out.
That's not the best way to do it.
So I think this is where I drop my mic and thank you so much for
having me on this study. Thank you so much.
And then this summer, I really appreciate, I like that last
part where amplifies results. So thank you so much.
That was really profound. So I'm going to actually
stopping here and we really love your presence here.
Thank you Sir. And to every person that listen,
thank you for listening and would love to see you again next
time. So to you next time, bye.
God bless you.
