Hello everybody, welcome once again to Deep Tears Audio.
Yes, and this is episode 8 of Deep Tears of His Word.

No, well go and listen to it now because you will not understand
this episode 8 if you have mentioned episode 6.
So yes, as I initially promised us, we have a Part 2 of what has
he promised you. So those promises that he has
given unto you. So this is a deeper version of
it. This is a sequel to it.
This is Part 2. So this is continuation of
episode 6. So if you have not listened to
episode 6, please after this podcast, listen to episode 6 or
you can even stop again listening to episode 6 and then
come back. Alright, so without further ado,
we have a very special guest now missed yes, All right, so today
we have no other person than AK Emmanuel.
Great to have you, Sir. We're very happy to have you.
He miss a lot so well, not much portfolio, but AK Emmanuel, he's
a very big personality in medical school and it's very,
very soon to come back to. No, I don't listen to this
thing. Next one year you'll be a doctor
or by. The end of this year.
OK, so anyway, thank you so much for coming Sir, it means a lot.
So today we are looking at what has he promised you.
So without further ado, Sir, we would like to hand over this mic
to you SO. OK, thank you for hosting me on
this wonderful program, though I've been, you know, kind of
dodging last year. But then I'm happy to be here.
I'm happy and I'm happy to be part of this wonderful
initiative and concept. Looking at it, when you tell me
about this, about what has he promised you?
And today, celebrating what is a promise because you know, many
times when we go into something, you don't really know what is or
just haywire or. And those.
And yeah, in formal settings when things are to be discussed,
the terms are laid down first. You understand what we're
actually talking about before diving into it.
So according to standard inquisition, I promise to find
as a declaration or assurance that one would be a particular
thing or that a particular thing will happen.
So yeah, the commitment to an act or not act in a certain way
in future. So this is something specific
and not something not specific, something specific by a stupid
dog. So now realize our promise is
now we go to the point of why is the foundation of a promise.
What's lazy? Probably because we make
promises almost every day, especially parents with their
children. Be like, I'll buy you that step
and promises almost or let's say everyday women promise everyday
to strengthen our friendship, our relationship with other
people. So remote promises almost
everyday, but that the promises, the promise are hinged upon.
OK, the character of the giver, the person who has said I will
do a bat Clarkson or a bat Clarkson will happen.
So when you talk of the character of the person is the
the person of the person, you're talking of the person's
capability and also talking of the person's track record.
So you're trusting 2 things just in the persons capability.
I'm cutting trusting persons track record.
This 2 has to be in shape because everybody is capable but
has a bad track record. You will not trust you know
don't to that promise and it has a track record, but it's not
capable fulfilling that particular promise.
You will see doubt it. So the capability has to be dear
that is being able to fulfill that promise or did that
particular thing or cause that particular thing at all.
And a proven track, track record.
You check what does this person maybe you check with other
people or you check with yourself.
Has this person be true to me? Has this person been committed
to me? Has this person, you know, been
true to his world? So that's where integrity comes
in. Is this person, does this person
have integrity? So thanks for foundation of
promises. Now for the most important part
to me, what promises don't mean, especially in the kids.
I've been speaking generally. So let me come specific to our
work. Its board.
So what promises don't mean? So I would like to read the
particular scripture. The person, the first person
kind of that was given a promise.
The father of promises. OK, Speaking of father Abraham,
the one who was given a promise. So I'll read Genesis chapter 1,
chapter 12, Sorry. From verse one to three, the
first promises. The first promise I was given to
you. So is now the Lord that said to
Abraham, get out of your country from your family and from your
father's house to a land that I will show you.
Verse 2, I will make you. So these are the promises that I
will make you a great nation. I will bless you and make your
name greet and you shall be a blessing.
OK, then more promises in verse 3 saying I will bless those who
bless you. I will cause him who causes you
and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.
So we see father Abraham receiving lots and lots of
promises and you'll be like wow. Because looking at Abraham that
point he didn't was childless. So and he was see with under his
father. So see that he has not, you
know, built anything on his own. Something like that though.
Yeah, his family was wealthy and all, but he has not built
anything. He says I will make a great
nation. Nation.
Do you know what the nation is as a group of large amount of
people? I see someone is childless.
What? How are you going to do that?
Then he says, I will bless you and make your name great.
Nobody knew Abraham at that moment.
Nobody knew him. And then verse 3 says I will
bless those who bless you and cause those who curse you.
What is making Abraham so special that you give such a
blessing? So there were there are a lot of
doubts. There are a lot of doubts around
this. But then in Romans chapter 4,
that is verse 16. Let me just switch from verse
16. It says, therefore it is of
faith that it might be according to grace, so that the promise
might be sure to all the seed, not only to those who are of the
law, but also to those who are of the feet of Abraham, who is
the father of us all. Verse 17 as it is written, I
have made you a father of many nations in the presence of him
whom he believed. God who gives life to the dead,
and calls those things which do not exist as though they did.
So you see the capability of God.
Yeah, He calls those things that do not exist as if they existed.
Then in verse 18 says still talking about Abraham, he says
who contrary to hope. So there was a part he played
like contrary to hope, Bob is like you're believing that
something will happen in the nearest view.
So you see, he says in verse 18 something about Abraham.
He says, who contrary to hope in hope believed so that he became
the father of many nations according to what was spoken, or
you can say according to the promise, so shall your
descendants be like when God took him to you know, the night
because he was doubted this your promise how far now like it
really happened. And then God took him to the
studies and says your, your descendants shall be as many as
this time. So says so shall your
descendants be the device. 19 says not being weak in fits.
He did not consider his own body.
This is where the biology comes in.
And it's like he did not consider.
He did not put his own body in the deal.
You know, he promises like a deal.
This my body is your birth kind of thing.
He promised like a deal. So he'd not bring his own body,
right. He'd not consider, no, you know,
bring his own body like already. He'd not consider his own body
already dead since he was about 100 years old.
Medicine will tell you otherwise.
So and the deadness of Sarah's room.
So that is also another no, Sarah was not a young girl.
So she was also advanced in age. Then verse 20, he did not
waiver. He's also another keeper.
He's not waiver at the promise of God.
So you see promise coming. So he's not waiver at the
promise of God through and believe, but was strengthening
feet giving glory to God. How he became strengthened in
God was that he was also always giving glory to God.
God, I thank you. You brought him out of my
father's house because when him and his father were moving out,
his brother died along the way. His father died around me, but
then he was the only one there. No right Kenan, if you follow
the the account very well, he was giving glory to so and then
verse 21 says being fully convinced right.
This conviction coming from being fully convinced that what
he had promised he was able to perform.
So you see that part of capability showing itself.
He knew that God was able. He knew that God was able was
fully convinced that God was able and restaurant sees it and
therefore it was accounted to him for righteous.
So you see Paul in the letter by comparing it to what happened
with Jesus. But these I don't want to stem
from one of the last scriptures or the second to the last or
second from the last scripture. I want to do it is Hebrews.
You cannot talk about promises tackling of our feet.
I cannot talk about feet talking about Hebrews Chapter 11 OK from
verse text 3 says say what more shall I say for the time we film
it, Film me to tell of Gideon and Barack and Samson and Jephta
also David and Samuel and the prophets.
Verse 33 who true faith subdued kingdoms, walked righteousness.
Then this one obtained promises, stopped the mouth of lions.
Then verse 34 quenched the violence of fire escaped the
edge of the sword out of weakness, we emit strong women
received their dead restive life and all these having obtained a
good testimony. True faith did not receive the
promise. So that is my emphasis here says
what promised are not a promise does not mean like a promise
from God does not mean that you get to see the end everything.
When you look at Abraham, Abraham, the nations did not
arrive when he was alive. Even for Joseph, Joseph, they
say in this particular, he says he envisioned that they will
still move back to the promised land.
He says these people should carry my bones with you.
You should carry my bones with you.
So all these food, they saw all these things from far and that's
why they had faith. Their faith could be solidified
in Jesus Christ because they saw Jesus Christ before he came.
So they are belief passed through time.
No, that's that's in his you know, this is a time travel and
all faith travels through time. They vest what he says God
having provided something better for us that they should not be
made perfect apart from us. So we are the perfection.
So we are the ones that received the entailed endured promise
they they saw it or we we are receiving it.
So you see that line drone. So promises don't mean that you
see the end of it. You're not the only one to share
in that promise one God has what once God has said a thing you
will not be the only particular of that promise.
Look at Hannah she resolute God and all She wasn't the one that
benefited from his ministry because the whole of Israel
benefited like look at everyone that had the good testimony like
the promise of God are not to a particular person.
It's just true a particular person then you look at Mary,
the mother of Jesus, like different people.
Yes, they received promises, but then it was not just for
themselves. It was beyond them.
Nice thing about the promise of God is beyond you and yeah, it's
not just for self. So I'll just end with this
particular scriptures, particular scripture people's 12
ones too. So I haven't seen all these
people that have done this yet to have a good testimony yet did
not receive the promises. So this one of Hebrew stuff says
therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud
of witnesses, let us lay aside every wit and the sin which so
easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that
is set before us. Invest to this looking onto
visas, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame,
and as sat down at the right hand of throne of God.
So we see a perfect example of one who held on to God's promise
that he will be raised from the dead.
Endurance without encouragement will make you a soldier of green
duty. But then encouragement without
endurance, it will make it all of simple optimism because faith
is not optimism unless there's a holding on.
There's an endurance to gospel. So that is all I have to say.

You see, don't the things you mentioned that in the in the
beginning, it was like you trust the person's capability and
track record when it comes to promises, right?
The track record K your last song has a track record of
keeping his word is not about to stop doing it now.
Amen. All right, So Sir, I have a
question for you. I try have questions for you.
So the first question is so can a person, although with a
proving track record, delay in fulfilling a promise?
So professionally the tracker will always bring in the promise
to pass. So can a person ever delete?
Yeah, it's possible for a person to delete.
Now, like I said, I need a person and a person's character.
Yeah, the person might. If the person character is not
good, he's delaying for the wrong reasons.
Well, if you choose the person that's used good, for example,
God might in our sense delay because he didn't attach any
time to the promise in the 1st place.
There was no time. He attached the promise.
He didn't tell. And if there was, it was a
particular alert. If he's in the, you know, the
life of time, like Sarah's case that there's a time at that, he
must, you know, be pregnant for nine months and then give that
at a popular time. But then away from that life,
you know, time in life. Enthusiastry says that he makes
things beautiful in his time, so he has his own time, OK?
All right. Thank you so much, Sir.
I really appreciate that second question now in line with that,
OK, so can you trust someone without a track record of for
feeding promises? So you know those sometimes some
guys who approach me and be like, I'll change, trust me,
just marry me number, I'll change.
So would you advise someone to trust the person when person
doesn't really have a track record of do a person has
promised this will happen? Do you think it's safe to trust
that kind of person? It's not safe at all.
The red is is a red flag. Some people call it a red
carpet. Is there a red carpet fight to
run away because promises are not enough.
Promises are not enough for you to order.
A person cannot just be holding on to promises.
Just like you having a business dealer, you're also holding on
to people's promises. Ah, you run out of business
because you run out of business. If you're also holding on to
people's promise, I'll pay you get delivered the goods, I'll
pay no. And if I this relationship when
you're giving your life, what's greater goods and investment is
greater than your life? So no promises are made enough.
You need a tested character. I have no character.
It has been tested over time. Yeah.
Is it a personal that if a little result in marriage
Marriages. No.
According to Christian dogma, young is for life.
There's no divorce in it per SE. All right, thank you so much.
So finally, this one I actually want to ask, can we limit the
actualization of God's promises? Do we have a hand in making
cause promises not to come to pass?
I get your points though, like any promise that makes you
responsible for nothing is is an irresponsible promise or
something Like there's always something that you have to do.
Any promise that makes you responsible and just sleep and
just there's nothing for you to do.
There are certain cases, yeah, you know, in children,
obviously, where they just went to battle and no, they had gone
to the end of their strengths when I was time for go to work.
But any promise that, you know, you are just responsible, that
is not that's promise that there has to be a war.
There's a part for you to play. And sometimes we hold on to
promise that we are already for. Thank you so much, Sir.

so like gave his life, put his life on the line to God and
saying God, I know that you raise me, I believe you and
