Hello everybody, welcome once again to deep this.
Audio. Yes, and this is episode 9 of
Deep Things of his word. Yes.
So today we have a very special topic.
Power in his word. Yes, OK.
But before that, we have a special guest in our mist,
someone based on popular demands, someone been asking for
a very long time. Well, he's saying our mist
again. So please join me.
Welcome. Hi, my name is Uchi.
Hi, Uchi. Thank you so much for coming.
I appreciate it. All right, so today, power in
his word. Well, that's the concept.
So what do you understand by power in his world?
So now I'm going to give this flow entirely to Uche to
proceed. OK, So tell us about power in
his world. What does it mean?
And every single consensus. Thank you.
OK, and thank you so much for this opportunity.
The Bible says, OK first of all we're going to talk about the
the the topic power in his word that refers to the potency of
God's word, what the word of God can do.
That's the power in the word OK. The Bible says in Hebrew chapter
4 verse 12 it says for the word of God is quick and powerful and
sharper than any 2 edged sword piercing even to the dividing a
sound of solar spirit and of the joints and marrow and is a
dishonorable thoughts and the intents of the heart.
You see Bible says in Hebrew to perform a story said the word of
God is quick and powerful quick and powerful.
There are many things that the Word of God can do.
OK, there are, there are, there are many powers in quotes in the
world. But then I'm going to be talking
about the power of God's word with respect to transformation
because I think that's what concerns us mostly and the major
benefits we have from the Word of God.
Bible says in Hebrews 412 that it is powerful, the Word of God
and sharper than any 2 edged sword piercing even to the
dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and
marrow and is the descender of the thought and the intent of
the heart is the Bible also says in Romans chapter 12 is it be
not do not be conformed to the standards of this world will be
transformed by the renewing of your mind that happens by the
word of God. The word of God is the raw
material that the Holy Spirit uses to change our lives is the
Bible says walk out to your salvation with fear and
trembling. That is the the life of God that
is walked into you when you receive the word of God, the
Word of Faith that made for your salvation, you walk it out with
fear and trembling. That fear and trembling is fear
and trembling to the instructions of the Holy Spirit.
So what has been walked into you by faith in the gospel having
received the life of Christ, which is the Word, you are
walking it out with fear and trembling.
And the Bible also says in John chapter 17, verse 17 says
sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth to the raw
material with which God makes us holy.
The raw material with which God transforms our minds, changes
our thoughts, changes the way we reason, changes the way we see
him, the way we see things in our lives, even day-to-day
activities, the way we see money, the way we see people,
the way we see nature, the way we see his works, the way he's
we see even church going. You know, it's is by the word of
God. There is nobody, there is nobody
that the Holy Spirit can walk on except that person is yielded to
the word of God. Now Jesus said in John chapter
14, He said the Spirit of truth said He would guide us into all
truth. He would take of Himself and He
would speak to us, He would give it to us.
That means that the person that animates the life of God in our
spirit is the Holy Spirit, and the agency with which He does
that is truth. The agency with which the Holy
Spirit transforms our hearts, makes us new presence is truth,
and that truth is the Word of God.
The Word of God is powerful to transform your mind.
I was watching a clip one time on Instagram about 1 Mandy Uno
of course, Taris, Dr. Maduka, Dr. Cosmos Maduka and profound
man rooted in the Word of God. He he took his Bible to a
business meeting and he was like all the secrets of my business
are inside his book. Everything I used to succeed and
build this company is inside this book and that give me
another motivation that the secrets that are locked up in
the pages of scripture, if you can tap into it and they are
quickened by the Holy Spirit, you will see those words coming
to pass in your life. So when you have a mindset and
you sit on that word, what the Holy Spirit does is that he
takes the potency of that word and begins to make you into a
person that looks like that word.
What I'm trying to say is that Bible says ye shall know the
truth and the truth shall make you free.
I choose the word make you free. It means that it's not just an
information you receive in your head.
It's it's an organic work that is done by the Holy Spirit in
your heart. You discover that the passions
you have towards sin, you. It's not that somebody's trying
to rule you to not sin. It's not that somebody's trying
to rule you or to tell you that, OK, if you sing, you're going to
go to hell. You don't even find the desire
to sin again. You are being made.
You are being made free. It's not just that you are set
free, you are being made free. He's turning you into a person
that looks like Jesus. So the Holy Spirit takes the raw
material of the word of God and he brings it to us in our
hearts, transforming us, making us into the turning us into the
image of Christ. He said we are with open faces,
beholding us in a glass. The glory of the Lord are
changed, are changed. We are transformed.
The word there is the word that is in biology, metamorphosis.
It's what happens to a butterfly from egg to lava, from lava to
pupa, from pupa to an adult butterfly.
So that's what the Word of God does, is like a mirror.
If you go to a mirror, what you have seen is not necessarily
what is good about you. If you open a mirror to look all
right. If you open a mirror, most times
you're trying to check what is wrong with your face.
Is my makeup right? Is my scarf right?
Is my earrings right all right? Is the powder too much?
Is the foundation? Is it too deep?
You know, Even so, you take the Word of God and as you are
reading it, it is reading you. So that's the power of God's
Word. It is the raw material that the
Holy Spirit uses to transform us and make us more like Christ.
Notice the truth makes you free. That word makes us more like
Christ. In experiences is like animating
the words that are written off of the pages of scripture.
The Holy Spirit takes those raw materials, which is the word to
transform our heart. So it is impossible for a man to
give himself to the world. It's impossible for a man to
give himself to the due diligence of studying the world
under the England of the Holy Spirit.
And that man does not change. It's it's, it's impossible.
It's impossible. The Word of God is quick and
powerful. It discerns your thoughts, it
discerns the intents of your heart, and it changes it to be
more like Jesus. Well, thank you so much for
that. Who?
Transformed by His word. OK, You know, I just, I think
about something when you're speaking.
So you spoke about the transferring power in his word.
So can you like probably shed a little more light on how can 1
be transformed by his word? Thank you.
Second Corinthians chapter 3 and verse 18.
I'll start from verse 17. He says now the Lord is that
spirit and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty,
but we all with open face beholding us in a glass.
The glory of the Lord are changed into the same image from
glory to glory even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
If you want to see the dramatized version of this verse
you need to take you need to go back to Genesis, the case of
Jacob where Leban was trying to cheat him with with the flock
that was due due to him. What Jacob did was that he took
he took something and placed it in their feeding troughs so that
as those animals went to drink, as they were beholding that mark
in their feeding trust, they were transformed.
That's exactly what happens to us with God's word.
The more you engage the word of God, the more you look at it,
the more you behold God in his word.
And as you're reading the word of God, you can read it as a
theological material. You can read it as a historical
material, but you can read it as the word of God.
There you are beholding the principles of Christ, the, the,
the, the, the, the promises of Christ, prophecies, things that
God as you're reading the Bible, be reading thoughts, be reading
patterns that Jesus don't just really like his storybook.
As you behold that word, something is happening to you
that you can't even tell. That's how we get transformed by
his word. As we behold the word, as we
engage the word deliberately day after day, day after day,
something is happening to you. I saw you put today that it
actually blessed me. It said that I'm paraphrasing
now. It said that change does not
come by trying to beat what is wrong.
It it comes by focusing on what is good.
It comes by focusing on the truth and that is what God calls
us to do. He said if you are in Christ,
you are a new creation. All things are passed away.
Behold, behold all things are new.
It is a behold all things are passed away.
He doesn't even want you to look at the old things.
Behold, all things are new. Behold yourself in the world.
At the point I had to get scripture that talks about my
mind, I started quoting I have the mind of Christ in the name
of Jesus. I, I, I took those scriptures as
I said, speaking it to myself, beholding those words.
Soon I discovered I was taking decisions that the the quality
of my decisions changed. You know the spirit of wisdom
had now come based off of what I was reading from Scripture.
The Satanist tries to woo you with temptation.
You pick up the word of God and the righteousness of God in
Christ Jesus seems shall not have dominion over me.
I live in the spirit, I walk in the spirit.
I will not fulfill the desires of my flesh.
This is how you get changed by the Word.
You pick those words and you keep looking at them.
Something is happening within your Bible says it is able to go
through your thoughts, through your bone, through your marrow,
through the deepest part of you and cause it change.
So it's as you behold that you are changed.
That's how we get transformed by His Word.
Thank you so much. So another question, you know
how light is in different wavelengths?
Yeah. So is transformation is also in
different wavelengths? Like some people are they
transformed a certain way to a higher degree and some people
are not transformed to a slight degree.
Because I'm not just meant people, I mean Christians that
they say they read the Bible, right.
And some other people read the Bible.
There's certain transformation that comes to, let's say Group
A, then be heightened transformation and then to Group
B is now just to just live life and be a Christian.
So is there like transformation that comes in different
wavelengths? Yes, I will say yes.
Why? Because like I said, some people
read the Bible like a storybook. It's a spirit text.
You don't read it like Tina Chavez's book.
No, you it is spirit text. It takes spirits to no spirit.
Bible says this old scripture is given by inspiration.
That word is Numa, breath of the the Spirit of God.
Transformation cannot happen to you when you're studying the
Bible as a novel. No, because there are some
theologians that have now become a theist.
Yes, they know scripture. What do you think happened to
the Pharisees? They know scripture.
They knew the Torah. They knew the Torah A-Z even
could recite it, but then they do not have the life of the
Scriptures. That's why Jesus told them you
can't understand me, I know my sheep, you can't understand
this, that I'm telling you. So they know the Scripture in
their head, but then the they said they have a form of
godliness, but denies the power thereof.
So beyond reading it like a textbook, like a novel, the the
transformative power of Scripture comes when we read the
Bible by the help of the Holy Spirit.
Like I said, he's the one that animates these letters.
He said the letter kill it, but the spirit gives life.
It is the Spirit that makes the life of Christ lead to you.
So you can see a Christian that got born again 2010.
Two Christians 1 is studying the Bible by the agency of the
Spirit. The other one is studying the
Bible just to get puffed up with knowledge.
The difference will be clear because the other person will
have a lot of things in his head.
But then the way we doubt to prove that thing, you won't see
it in the present life. So the difference is the Bible
is not a novel, it's a spirit text, and it takes spirit to no
spirit. Thank you so much for that.
I'm really blessed. You know, that's my question pop
in my head, but I feel if I go back and listen to this again, I
think the answer will be there. You've said it all, so this is
every other person listening. Please, you think you have heard
this? Go back.
Listen to this exact episode, the game.
There's a reason I'm telling you this.
So thank you so much, Uchi, for this.
God bless you. Mary, thank.
You all right, so to all our listeners, thank you all for
joining us today. So till we see you again next
week, bye.
