What Has God Promised You? Part 1

0:01 Hello everybody, welcome once again to deep this audio. Happy new Year, welcome back. We took a long break, a well deserved break, a little retreat and recalibration for the new year. Well, guess what? Now we are back. It's a new episode with respect to the season, the New year season.

0:32 So welcome to episode 6 of Deep Teens of His Word. On today's episode, you'll be highlighting some promises from the scriptures, promises for each situation. So what has he promised you? There are a lot of promises in the Bible we won't be able to exhaust all in one place like this episode. So we will surely have a follow up for this particular topic. So without further delay, let's get into it. Number one, promise of protection. So I'll be talking about the three PS PPPs promises. OK, so #1 promise of protection.

1:24 Isaiah chapter 4 to one verse 10. It says so do not fear, for I am with you. Do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. So when we are paralysed with fear and unable to stand, our ever present protector has promised to uphold us and strengthen us. This promise is also a command. God has declared He will surround us with his care when anxiety strikes, but He also challenges us to place our full confidence in his world.

2:10 So this year we must choose to focus on his faithfulness and stop feeding our fears. OK, so I want to tell this story. So a couple of years ago. This is just to portrays that when we let fear in, it attracts other spirits with it. Say a couple of years ago not to like 2 years. Three years ago I was writing an exam, second MBBS exam. Honestly, I prepared for it, but one way or the other I let fear get the upper hand. I experienced what we call frozen with fear in right in the exam hall. OK, so in situations like this it only takes God's mercy to succeed.

2:56 Well, because I later realized God's mercy and I utilized His grace over my life and God tradition not of mercy, I succeeded. But instead of you trying to look for a way out, why not just hold on to His help? Why not just feel confident that God can do it instead of letting fear dictate what you can do right? OK, so please focus on God's faithfulness and stop feeding your fears. Alright #2 promise of preservation. Colossians chapter one, verse 15 to 16. The sun is the image of the invisible God, the first born over all creation.

3:48 For in Him all things we are created, things in heaven and on earth, visible and invincible, whether Thrones or powers or rulers or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him. Now verse 17, He existed before anything was made, and now everything finds completion in Him. OK. So when we speak on preservation, it means to maintain something throughout, to keep intact now as a promise from God. God holds the whole world in His hands, including our current mess. You may see chaos in some dark corners, but Christ is divinely ordering every detail in His masterful design for your total makeover.

4:47 So you can trust Him with whatever looks messy right now because you are a work in progress. Say to yourself, I am a work in progress. Thank you. Is it your relationship with people or maybe your career or your finances or even your life that looks like a mistake or maybe you've made mistakes that look irreparable and you destroy someone's trust. A promise from God is that He will preserve you. He is the architect of the universe and He is building you into a beautiful masterpiece. So He's the summons, holding together every brick of your life.

5:37 So just hand Him those shattered pieces and He is faithful to complete the work He has started in you now #3 promise of provision. I know sometimes people are in need of many things and I'm like, is there a promise for this? Yes, there is. Philippians chapter 4 verse 19. But my God shall supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Again. But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Next is Second Corinthians Chapter 9 verse 8.

6:19 And God is able to make all grace abound towards you, that ye always having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work. So we can trust that God will always meet our needs. Whatever we actually need on us, He shall always supply, even if, like Paul, it is the courage to face death. We must remember, however, the difference between our wants and our needs. Most people want to feel good and avoid discomfort and pain is it's not a bad thing. We may not get all we want, but by trusting in Christ our attitudes and appetite can change from wanting everything to accepting his provision and power to leave for Him.

7:14 Also according to Luke chapter 8 verse 38, which says give and to be giving, you a good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be poured into your lap for the measure you use it to be measured to you. Christians who give back to God will lack nothing. God's favour, that is his grace will be showered on people who give. They will have everything they need in the various situations in which they find themselves today. There's something I always hear it's you don't have to give right?

7:55 You give to have. So it's not from the abundance of what you have that you give. It's even from the manual of anything you have that you give. Recall the story of the widow's mite. She had just that last penny, right? That last coin, that lights money, that last resources, that last equipment that has anything and she gave it. Unlike people that have a lot and they not give their minimum. That's not what they mean by give and it be given to you. But listen, the purpose of God's overwhelming blessing is always to equip his people to do every good work.

8:40 This doesn't imply that Christian giving is a contract with God. We're the one who gives, get no. Instead, it says that God will provide whatever a Christian needs to do good. So you can be confident that everything you need will be provided by God. I possibly say Christian. So you know that this promise is only to those that are in light, those that have received the life of Christ and those that know who Christ is. This promises is not for everybody. It's for the believers, those that profess Christ as their Lord and Savior.

9:23 OK, finally, promise of safety. Last but not least for today's episode only Psalm 9 to one, verse 4. He will cover you with His feathers and under His wings you will find refuge. His faithfulness will be a shield and rampant. When we are under attack, we can trust that God will protect us. God shelters us from the enemy like a mother hen tenderly covering her baby cheeks with her wing. His truth and faithfulness shield us from all the arrows of opposition heading away. You are safe in God's care.

10:10 He is faithful to keep His promises. You can trust that He will extend His grace to cover you today. So to end this song, I am under the shadow of your wings. Your influence is all over me. I am under the shadow of your wings.

Note, when you read his word you gain perception or knowledge. When you study his word you gain understanding. And when you meditate on his words that word becomes flesh which will translate to take over your mind leading to translation. So from this episode you know what to do.
