Wow, Mamet Nasiru Galli, thank you so much for coming, Sir.
It's an honor. And to be honest, I'm happy
you're the first person we are featuring Details of power.
So today we have a very interesting topic.
So the topic is. Doctrine of power So what do you
think you know about power? What are the concepts behind
power? What is power?
How is power? Who is power?
All right, these whole questions and why you have the answer
today. So we will have our own guest
speaker, Mohamed Nasiru Gali go through every aspect of doctrine
of power for us. So please pay attention and
listen carefully as we go deep into it.
OK? Thank you.
So, Sir, over to you. Thank you so much and I'm happy
to be here to discuss on the doctrine of power.
I want to say that I'm not worthy to talk about this
because I feel I've not reached the level 2 and nobody will ever
reach that level where he feels that he's enough and he has what
is now enough to do things on his own.
We just have to depend on the grace and the power of God.
So we are going to talk about the doctrines of power.
Just settle down, get your notes unless rights unless meditate
unless also pray that the Holy Spirit will speak to us.
So I want to begin with the first statements that you will
never desire what you don't know.
So whatsoever you don't know about, you're not going to
decide. The second point is that your
life is not superior to the level of knowledge and
revelation that you have. So the quality of your life can
never be superior to your level of knowledge and revelation.
The third one is that it is not a sin to desire power.
Later in this discussion we are going to see so many things and
one of the things that I will highlight is the fact that one
of the reasons why God created man was to share His love with
man. You know, the Bible said that
God so loved the world that he gave and so one of the things
that moves God is love. And John told us that God is
love, and one of the reasons why he created man was to share his
love, was to share his image, was to share his likeness, to
share his power with man so that man can live in the God class
having dominion over the earth. So it is not a sin to desire
power. When we look at Jesus, we also
see how Jesus was going about doing good and how Jesus was
also pointing the disciples to the issue of power, to the Holy
Ghost and with power. He even told them to tarry in
Jerusalem until they are endued with power.
So it is not a scene to desire power.
In fact, when you look at Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
you see that in the book of Acts chapter one, verse one, Luke was
saying of my former accounts, that was the book of Luke.
What's your philosoph? What Jesus began to do and to
teach. So the book of Matthew, the book
of Mark and Luke showed us the act of Jesus.
And Jesus was not just demonstrating science and
wonders. Jesus was also teaching because
he also needed the disciples to enter into the economy that he
was working with. And the moment he came to the
book of John, he began to introduce the person of the Holy
Ghost, which is the power. So power can be a person, power
can be an activity, it can be a capacity and authority.
Might and strength. Letter will see the definition
of power, but when it comes to personality in the Godhead, the
Godhead that demonstrates power is the Holy Spirit.
So he's the power of God and Jesus is the word of God.
And later we'll see how the two of them come together to see
that the power comes into effect.
There is there are two types of parties, the potential power and
is the kinetic power and we'll see them later.
So it is not his sin to desire power.
The points #4 is that every person you see is looking for
power. Every single person you see in
this universe is looking for power.
So some people may see it, They may be looking for it in form of
work, money, material resources for people just want to control
their situations and unforeseen circumstances, which is which
can be hunger, which can be sickness, which can be their
time. They just want to be able to
control their time. They want to control the things
that happened to them. So every person you see that is
going about is looking for power.
The next point is that you will not receive.
What you don't ask is a law of the Kingdom.
He says ask and you shall receive.
You will not find what you don't seek.
So until you seek for something, you will not be able to find it.
And there are doors that will not open.
In fact, no door will open to you until you knock at it.
So there are things you ask, there are things you seek, and
there are things that you have to knock.
So in the Kingdom, this principle is very, very
important. So if you don't ask for power,
if you don't seek for it, if you don't knock for it, you are not
going to have it. Then in the Kingdom, everything
has been purchased by Jesus. Every single thing is free.
Every single thing has been purchased by Jesus, including
power. But they are not found in the
surface level because you can't give, you can't throw precious,
precious pills before dogs. So you have to, you know, you
have to deliver them to people who you know are able enough to
handle it carefully and be able to do it, use it to do good.
So including power. But they are not found in the
surface level. Everything is free, but it's not
in the surface level because they are treasures and they are
also inheritance. So if they are inheritance, it
means that treasures means that they have to be hidden and
inheritance means that you have to grow to maximize them.
For for inheritance, the Bible say a hair, as long as he's a
child is no different from his lips.
So that child has to grow. That hair has to grow to the
point where he can be able to lay, hold and take hold of his
inheritance. So they are given to those that
desire number one, with all their hearts, OK, and then grow
in maturity to wield them. So that is that point.
Then another point is that as a Christian you have as much power
that rose Jesus from the dead in your spirits.
This this is what we call the potential that you have and the
capacity that you have. The potential you have is the
same potential that Jesus wielded while he was on earth
and the capacity determines is deter is dependent on your
vessel. In the book of first Timothy,
the second Timothy chapter 2, I think verse 2119, he said if
anyone therefore purges himself, if anyone therefore purges
himself from distance. Sanctification is one of the
greatest tools that the Lord has given to us to enter into our
rest. Later we may see that there are
two types of rest in this. The first rest we receive when
we came into Christ and this another rest we find.
The first rest is given. The second rest, you decide
whether you want to enter into it.
However, it is your choice to manifest this power.
So you have as much power. We'll see.
We'll see it in the book of Ephesians that that's great
power that arose Jesus from the leaves inside of you.
So we'll see it in the book of Ephesians.
So we have this power. Why is the power not producing
result? Just stay with me until we find
the answers to this then. The next point is that both
fruit of the Spirit and the gift of the Spirit require power to
be manifested. So power is not all about
science and wonders, miracles. Power is also demonstrated in
Lovejoy, peace, long-suffering. You know, long-suffering is
actually the Greek, the interpretation from the Greek
word of that was used there instead of patience.
Patience is part of long-suffering.
OK. So long-suffering, kindness,
goodness, and the rest of it requires power to be the fruits
of the spirits. So as much power that is
required to work in science, miracles and wonders is the same
power that is required to love. The same power then the currency
of power is love. Why he said that it is the
currency is because love provides a channel through which
power is manifested. Whenever Jesus was doing
miracles in the book of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, you see
that the the Bible always talked about and he had compassion on
them. Compassion is a product of love.
He so much love these people that he's not happy to see them
in their current situation. And so he cannot help but heal.
Compassion is one of the greatest tool that if you have
it, you'll be able to walk in power.
In fact, it will make you to pursue power because one of the
thing. Let me Share your story before
we go deep into the deep things of power.
So there was a situation I saw somebody in and it was a
sickness, a very serious 1 and I I was passed through that before
and I even had a surgery for it. And when the person came to me
and talked about it, I really had so much compassion. 1 is
that I understand the pain that the person was passing through.
Jesus had to come in form of man in order to really understand
what men are passing through and to see what is troubling these
men. OK so I saw how he was passing,
what he was passing through because I passed through the
situation and I began to have mercy and compassion on this
person. I began to have compassion not
miss God gives us mercy or a book but I also show mercy to
people and it made me to start asking God to heal this person.
I was telling God that I don't want this person to pass through
the surgery. I passed through and I prayed
for the person. At first I did not see any
results. The second one I did not see
results, I think until the third one and then the pain stopped,
the mass started regressing and then disappeared.
So that was one of it. OK, so compassion is one of the
biggest tool. When you love people, you can't
afford to see them suffering and do nothing about it.
One of the things that moved me at some point is that how can
somebody be sick? And there's nothing I can do
about it. It was spinning me.
So this person, the only thing I can say is sorry, eh?
And the highest I can do is to pray.
You know, Jesus does not ask us to pray for the sick.
Let me be shaking some tables today.
Jesus does not ask us to pray for the sick.
He asked us to heal the sick. He asked us to heal the sick.
He said you shall lay hands on the sick and they will recover.
Now when he was sending his disciples in Matthew chapter 10,
he said, you know, he send them as cast out devils and heal the
sick. So when you go to pray for a
sick person, one mindset you should have of today is that I'm
not just going there to lay hands.
I am going there to heal. I'm not going there to pray.
I'm going there to heal. Prayer is part of it.
You have to pray now because you will have to call the name of
Jesus. But you have that mindset that I
don't just want to fulfill your righteousness.
I want to see results. I want to see results.
So these are the things that I need us to understand.
Then power is of so much necessity because even Jesus
could not manifest on earth without power.
So I don't know how you want to also leave your Christianity
without power. We must look for power, must
find this power. Now in Genesis chapter one verse
one, the Bible said in the beginning God created the
heavens and the earth and the earth was void and empty and the
Spirit of God was moving over the surface of the deep.
And God said let there be light and there was light as the first
definition of power, calling things that being off and they
appear and God demonstrated it for us in the book of Genesis.
In fact, the Bible began with power.
The Bible began with power. So the Bible said and God said,
let's there be light and there was instantly there was lights.
That is power. When you speak you see results.
That is power. And then he now said, and the
law saw that the light was good. It means that this power
produces what is good. Any power that does not produce
what is good is not the real power.
OK, so the real power, the power of God, produces what is good.
One of the natures of God is omnipotence, and that means that
he is to all powerful God. And he doesn't just have power
over all things and everything, You also have the power to put
his power under his control. Because The thing is not about
having power, but is the power controlling you.
You see that there are people who are are in positions of
authority. Later we'll see that this kind
of power known as RK, that's the positional authority that people
can demonstrate when they are on in authority.
You see that the moment they go into power, the power begins to
corrupt them. God is not like that.
He's so powerful. He has all the power you can
think of. In fact, you cannot even imagine
how much power God has. The Bible said about Jesus that
he's the express image of the invisible God, and he upholds
all things by the words of his power.
By the words of his power, the moment any word of God fails,
the moment every universe would collapse.
So the whole universe is upheld by the power.
So the our life is under the message of God's power.
If the power fails today, every single thing created, visible
and invisible, will disappear. So the whole world is under the
control of the world of His power.
So the book of Genesis began with the definition of power.
Then when we go to the life of Jesus in Mark, John, Acts
chapter 10 verse 38, the Bible spoke about how Jesus was
anointed with the Holy Ghost and with power.
There are many offices of the Christ.
There's the divinity of Jesus and there's the humanity of
Jesus. The divinity of Jesus makes him
to be worshipped and the humanity of Jesus made him to
the to to become the acceptable lamb, knowing that the the the
soul that seen it must die. And it was man that sinned.
And so Jesus could come in the form of man having the
righteousness of God that is spotless without wrinkles and
become the acceptable sacrifice. So he came in form of man.
So there are there are the essential and there are the
divine natures of Jesus. So Jesus is both God, and he's
also a man. Before he came, appeared in the
flesh, he was all God, in essence, God.
He's of the same essence as the Father.
Omnipotent, omniscience, omnipresent, He's all of that.
And the moment Jesus became flesh, he became the Son of God.
And the office he also acquired when he became flesh was also
the Son of Man because he was born of the Virgin Mary.
And so he acquired an office known as the Son of Man.
Then the next thing that Jesus, the other office that Jesus had
was also the office of the Christ.
And that was the one that root of salvation.
OK. So understanding the various
offices of the Christ of Jesus will be able to help us to
understand to some extent what power really is.
Because when Jesus came, he highlighted 2 things what who
really God is. Because the Bible said in the
book of Hebrews chapter one, that is the express image of the
invisible God. And so if since we are also
created in his image, he needed to show us what we really look
like and then he is also fully man.
So he's 100% God and he manifested 100% man, having
flesh and blood as we do. That was why when he was
pierced, when he died, Rabu said that blood and water came out.
So he was 100% God and he was 100% man.
And so he came to show us who God is and who man is.
So if you want to understand who God is, you have to look at the
person of Jesus. And if you want to understand
who man is, you also have to look at the person of Jesus,
because we are also created in the image of God.
And so when Jesus came about walking and moving in power, it
means that you too needs to also work in power.
So there's a scripture, maybe we'll come to it later, when
Jesus was referring himself as the Son of man.
So he said something that the Son of man has power to forgive
sins. And when he begins to refer
himself as the Son of man, because when you see Jesus in
this in the Bible, he referred himself as the Son of man and
the Son of God and the Christ. And also people refer him as the
Christ. And these offices are very
important. Whenever he's talking about the
Son of Man, it means that whatsoever he was doing with
that, we are capable of doing it.
You know, this, this, this, this, this is so important
because you don't even said that for anyone that believes in me,
these same things I do He will do and greater.
There's a definition I gave to living.
They, some people are merely existing.
They are not even living. We begin to live while we have
reached the threshold, and the threshold is Christ.
The threshold is Jesus Christ. So once we have begun to live
like Jesus, we have no started living.
We are just existing and for us to live like Jesus we need
power. Thank.
You so much Sir, Thank you. We really love what you did to
Details of Power. You went line upon line, process
upon process. Yeah, a little day, a little to
everyone that listened. To be honest, I every question
that kept on coming off maybe to ask, he kept on like he answered
all of them. Just I had just reached or wait
for him to reach there. He just answered it.
I was like most man to use. So the question he asked in the
beginning, I'm very sure if I should know it, it said why is
power not producing results? By now you should know the
reason. Amen.
So thank you so much, Sir. I really appreciate to everyone
that listen, God bless you. And if you have any question or
any special requests or anything, you can use our PR
decks or our websites, Deep Things, audio.portview.com or
you can use our e-mail address [email protected].
So till next time, God bless you and we pray that everything that
you have heard that the Lord shall grant you grace, put it
into practice in the mighty name of Jesus, we afraid, Amen.
So till next time, bye.
