Deep Things of Power

0:00 Hey there everybody. Welcome once again to Deep Things Audio. And this is the first episode of our new series. As usual, when a new episode comes out, we usually ask the public, our audience, what do you think it is? So I go so many responses, it ever changes. Mostly it's supposed to make the same mistake, so, but this year it was this time it was better. So I got response. I did this of sacrifice, did this of service, did this of this, did this of that. I was like, wow, come on. And I'm very sure I laid out a challenge that whoever gets it will be featured on Deepti's audio, right?

0:52 And well, someone got it. So a big shout out to one of our guest speakers on deep teens audio. Have you know, he was actually the first person ever featured on deep teens audio. So a big shout out to SA Awesome the convenance. We appreciate you so much and he got it so officially and welcoming every single one of us to episode 1 of deep things of power. Yes, welcome. So let's go right into it. First Corinthians chapter 2, verse 5, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God.

1:45 Second Corinthians chapter 6, verse 7, we commend ourselves to you by our truthful teachings, by the power of God walking through us and with the mighty weapons of righteousness is sold in one hand and shield in the other. So when we say power, it can insinuate a lot of things. So we're going to be looking at different definitions of power. So if you're followed us for a long time, so Deep Things Audio is 3 years old, Deep Things Audio is 3 years old, that means this is our third day in this ministry.

2:30 So if you have followed us, you would know that every first episode we usually give an introduction of what that series is about. So today we are looking at different definitions of power. So power is the ability to do work or capacity to influence outcomes. Also, power is the force that compels compliance. You can also say that compels obedience. Now, everywhere there is power, there must be obedience. Lawlessness or disobedience is present in the absence of power. Also, the ability to manipulate the outcomes to your advantage, That also is power.

3:25 The hallmark of dominion is power. You are as powerful as your ability to influence outcomes. I know I just did all these things together, but there's something else I want you to know. When we speak on power, we need to understand that it is given to all, not a selected few. So although power is in certain degrees and dimension, it is still giving to all. If you recall titles chapter 2 verse 11 in our episode Deep Teens of Grace. It was mentioned there expressly but title chapter 2 verse 11 paraphrasing a little for the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

4:11 So we can see for the power of God has appeared to all Acts chapter 10, verse 38, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, and how he went about doing good and he all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. And that translation I saw was, you know, about Jesus of Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and power. He went everywhere doing good and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for God was with him. So I want you to listen to this.

4:56 When Christ was on earth, He needed power to accomplish His assignment on earth. The truth is, as I earlier said, everyone has been given power. The hindrance to why it is not working out for you is because of three reasons. First is you have not received it. That is by accepting it has been given to you. If you can recall, OK, I'll still go in depth into this little other episodes, but when you receive the life of Christ during the moment of salvation, you receive a power. It's called exusia, right?

5:35 And most times people don't even know they have received that power. And this one I like to term ignorance. So the first limitation to you utilizing the power of God inside of you is ignorance. The second is it is not effectively utilized. That is, you have not activated it. When the power of God is given to 1, you can know you have it, but you might never use it. You don't even know how to use it. You know, sometimes ignorance of not knowing you have it and also ignorance of knowing how to operate it is another thing.

6:18 So that's another limitation. Then the third limitation, the degree of power you have received and activated is not sufficient for the area you want to utilize it for. So the one you have, like the amount of power that you receive or you have might just be enough to heal. Someone that has stomach ache might not be as powerful or as much or sufficient enough to raise the deck. It's not like you don't have power. You have power, but it's in degrees and is in levels, right? So you can't just receive the life of Christ and next second without doing anything.

7:00 You want to cause the the sun to stand still, just like prophet Jeremiah, right? It doesn't look like that. So there's a degree of utilization and activation necessary to reach some certain heights. But you know what, we are going to talk about that in this series. So don't miss any episode. Now take note of this. The power of God operates exclusively by faith. Power comes to believing in the finished work of Christ. So a while back I was meditating on a scripture why asking the Lord what the next episode will be and remember asking oh wait, how does the episode even come around?

7:46 Well, check out deep things of grace the question and answer session. We expose it. That was episode 21 for the bonus session. So when I was mutating the scripture like that's mutating, then some scriptures dropped in my spirit. First was John chapter one verse 12. But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe in his name. Second first Peter chapter one verse 5. Through our faith the mighty power of God constantly guides us until our full salvation is ready to be reviewed in the last time.

8:31 Also Galatians chapter 3 verse 26. For you are all children of God through faith in Christ Jesus, the power of God is given to them who believe in his name. So the higher the degree of belief and trust you have in God then the more the power of God is on your inside. OK, now let's look at our anchor scripture book of Acts of the Apostles chapter one, verse 8A. But you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses, OK? The former you, the current you, the future you should be clearly different as an evidence of the presence of the Holy Spirit and God power in your life.

9:24 So let's take the apostles as an instance of what I mean by this. I believe that before the apostles encounter the Holy Ghost, they experienced and reflected fear like never before. Even Apostle Peter denied Christ three times because he was afraid of what will happen if he identified with Christ. That was during the Passion of Christ. The apostles went to fish after the death of Jesus, meaning they lacked the fortitude to remain after all seemed lost. The next instance, which was their current as of the time when the Holy Ghost came, their present state that was during the Passover was that of hopeful and really people on their past age where they looked in aimless, like seemed like they were going nowhere, just hanging onto a tree of hope.

10:18 And then the final phase after the Holy Ghost came, they became people of boldness, strength and empowerment. And that's was the main difference. Now note, when we don't let the Spirit freely find expression within us, we will limit what He can do to us. But we'll go in depth into the concept of power in this series. Deepness of power.
