0:10 our new series. As usual, when a new episode

0:14 comes out, we usually ask the public, our audience, what do

0:19 you think it is? So I go so many responses, it

0:24 ever changes. Mostly it's supposed to make the

0:26 same mistake, so, but this year it was this time it was better.

0:32 So I got response. I did this of sacrifice, did

0:35 this of service, did this of this, did this of that.

0:39 I was like, wow, come on. And I'm very sure I laid out a

0:44 challenge that whoever gets it will be featured on Deepti's

0:50 audio, right? And well, someone got it.

1:31 So let's go right into it. First Corinthians chapter 2,

1:36 verse 5, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of

1:42 men, but on the power of God. Second Corinthians chapter 6,

1:49 verse 7, we commend ourselves to you by our truthful teachings,

1:55 by the power of God walking through us and with the mighty

1:59 weapons of righteousness is sold in one hand and shield in the

2:05 other. So when we say power, it can

2:09 insinuate a lot of things. So we're going to be looking at

2:13 different definitions of power. So if you're followed us for a

2:18 long time, so Deep Things Audio is 3 years old, Deep Things

2:23 Audio is 3 years old, that means this is our third day in this

2:29 ministry. So if you have followed us, you

2:33 would know that every first episode we usually give an

2:38 introduction of what that series is about.

2:41 So today we are looking at different definitions of power.

2:46 So power is the ability to do work or capacity to influence

2:52 outcomes. Also, power is the force that

2:57 compels compliance. You can also say that compels

3:02 obedience. Now, everywhere there is power,

3:07 there must be obedience. Lawlessness or disobedience is

3:13 present in the absence of power. Also, the ability to manipulate

3:20 the outcomes to your advantage, That also is power.

3:25 The hallmark of dominion is power.

3:29 You are as powerful as your ability to influence outcomes.

3:34 I know I just did all these things together, but there's

3:37 something else I want you to know.

3:39 When we speak on power, we need to understand that it is given

3:43 to all, not a selected few. So although power is in certain

3:48 degrees and dimension, it is still giving to all.

3:51 If you recall titles chapter 2 verse 11 in our episode Deep

3:56 Teens of Grace. It was mentioned there expressly

4:00 but title chapter 2 verse 11 paraphrasing a little for the

4:05 grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people.

4:11 So we can see for the power of God has appeared to all Acts

4:15 chapter 10, verse 38, how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with

4:21 the Holy Ghost and with power, and how he went about doing good

4:26 and he all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.

4:31 And that translation I saw was, you know, about Jesus of

4:35 Nazareth and how God poured out on him the Holy Spirit and

4:40 power. He went everywhere doing good

4:44 and healing all who were under the tyranny of the devil, for

4:49 God was with him. So I want you to listen to this.

4:56 When Christ was on earth, He needed power to accomplish His

5:00 assignment on earth. The truth is, as I earlier said,

5:06 everyone has been given power. The hindrance to why it is not

5:10 working out for you is because of three reasons.

5:14 First is you have not received it.

5:17 That is by accepting it has been given to you.

5:21 If you can recall, OK, I'll still go in depth into this

5:24 little other episodes, but when you receive the life of Christ

5:29 during the moment of salvation, you receive a power.

5:33 It's called exusia, right? And most times people don't even

5:38 know they have received that power.

5:40 And this one I like to term ignorance.

5:43 So the first limitation to you utilizing the power of God

5:50 inside of you is ignorance. The second is it is not

5:56 effectively utilized. That is, you have not activated

6:00 it. When the power of God is given

6:03 to 1, you can know you have it, but you might never use it.

6:07 You don't even know how to use it.

6:09 You know, sometimes ignorance of not knowing you have it and also

6:14 ignorance of knowing how to operate it is another thing.

6:18 So that's another limitation. Then the third limitation, the

6:23 degree of power you have received and activated is not

6:28 sufficient for the area you want to utilize it for.

6:31 So the one you have, like the amount of power that you receive

6:36 or you have might just be enough to heal.

6:40 Someone that has stomach ache might not be as powerful or as

6:44 much or sufficient enough to raise the deck.

6:47 It's not like you don't have power.

6:51 You have power, but it's in degrees and is in levels, right?

6:55 So you can't just receive the life of Christ and next second

6:58 without doing anything. You want to cause the the sun to

7:03 stand still, just like prophet Jeremiah, right?

7:08 It doesn't look like that. So there's a degree of

7:11 utilization and activation necessary to reach some certain

7:16 heights. But you know what, we are going

7:18 to talk about that in this series.

7:20 So don't miss any episode. Now take note of this.

7:25 The power of God operates exclusively by faith.

7:29 Power comes to believing in the finished work of Christ.

7:34 So a while back I was meditating on a scripture why asking the

7:38 Lord what the next episode will be and remember asking oh wait,

7:43 how does the episode even come around?

7:46 Well, check out deep things of grace the question and answer

7:49 session. We expose it.

7:51 That was episode 21 for the bonus session.

7:54 So when I was mutating the scripture like that's mutating,

7:59 then some scriptures dropped in my spirit.

8:02 First was John chapter one verse 12.

8:06 But as many as received him to them gave he power to become the

8:13 sons of God, even to those who believe in his name.

8:18 Second first Peter chapter one verse 5.

8:21 Through our faith the mighty power of God constantly guides

8:26 us until our full salvation is ready to be reviewed in the last

8:31 time. Also Galatians chapter 3 verse

8:34 26. For you are all children of God

8:39 through faith in Christ Jesus, the power of God is given to

8:44 them who believe in his name. So the higher the degree of

8:47 belief and trust you have in God then the more the power of God

8:50 is on your inside. OK, now let's look at our anchor

8:56 scripture book of Acts of the Apostles chapter one, verse 8A.

9:04 But you receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and

9:10 you will be my witnesses, OK? The former you, the current you,

9:16 the future you should be clearly different as an evidence of the

9:20 presence of the Holy Spirit and God power in your life.

9:24 So let's take the apostles as an instance of what I mean by this.

9:30 I believe that before the apostles encounter the Holy

9:33 Ghost, they experienced and reflected fear like never

9:37 before. Even Apostle Peter denied Christ

9:41 three times because he was afraid of what will happen if he

9:46 identified with Christ. That was during the Passion of

9:48 Christ. The apostles went to fish after

9:52 the death of Jesus, meaning they lacked the fortitude to remain

9:55 after all seemed lost. The next instance, which was

10:00 their current as of the time when the Holy Ghost came, their

10:05 present state that was during the Passover was that of hopeful

10:09 and really people on their past age where they looked in

10:13 aimless, like seemed like they were going nowhere, just hanging

10:17 onto a tree of hope. And then the final phase after

10:21 the Holy Ghost came, they became people of boldness, strength and

10:27 empowerment. And that's was the main

10:30 difference. Now note, when we don't let the

10:35 Spirit freely find expression within us, we will limit what He

10:40 can do to us. But we'll go in depth into the

10:46 concept of power in this series. Deepness of power.
